Solid Sleep was born out of a deeply personal experience — one that began not in a boardroom, but in our home, as parents concerned about our son’s health and well-being.
As healthcare professionals — Dr. Alex’s Kalmanovich, DDS, and Dr. Polina Kalmanovich, PharmD — we thought we knew what to look for. But nothing prepared us for the sleepless nights, the constant restlessness, the open-mouth breathing, the snoring, and the visible fatigue in our young son’s face. We watched helplessly as our vibrant child struggled with what we thought were normal growing pains — until we discovered they were signs of something deeper.
What we found changed our lives.
It wasn’t just sleep deprivation. It was improper breathing. It was oral posture. It was airway health. It was everything they don’t teach parents — and even most doctors — to look for. Our son was dealing with undiagnosed sleep-disordered breathing. And we realized: if we had missed it, how many others were missing it too?
We went down the rabbit hole of research, science, and early intervention. We learned how simple tools — like magnesium, myofunctional support, nasal breathing, and even mouth tape — could dramatically change sleep quality in both children and adults. We watched our son transform. We watched ourselves transform.
From that journey, Solid Sleep was born — a company founded on the belief that true health starts with breath, posture, and quality sleep. We’re here to educate, empower, and provide simple, effective tools for better rest — for every family, everywhere.
